Neighborhood Meeting Sep 3rd 5 - 7 PM
Re. Project PL20240218 Vaquero Subdivision
I'm in the wheelhouse of the website and have a few updates for you. Neighbors and we are meeting regularly regarding our opposition to the Vaquero Major Subdivision.
1. The county planning commission staff are hosting a "neighborhood meeting" with the developers and their representatives at the county offices, 5 - 7pm September 3rd, 2026.
County Admin Bldg. 1101 E. 2nd Ave. Durango
Online participation is possible via: laplata.primegov.com/public/portal for meeting information. Online participation is to be accomodated.
2. The land is under contract to a developer from the area who is now living in Spain. We are told they will not close "for a long time". We assume he is awaiting county approvals.
3. This morning I formed CR125 Homeowners LLC and have hired Naomi Reiss to act as our expert land planning consultant and to represent us with county officials.
Our objections are available online via the county website. cityview.lpcgov.org
